I try to keep a camera on me at all times. Thankfully when I was out one evening during the summer I was able to stumble onto this scene. As the sun was setting a thunder head was moving through the area.
I, as per usual, had KODAK EKTACHROME E100 VS 120 film loaded in my 645. I knew that the bright sky above the storm would yield a Technicolor blue while the foreground would be fading into the orange of the setting sun.
I'm quite impressed with the dynamic range considering it's a slide film. I think my favorite part is the highlights on the masts of the boats on the bottom left. I just wished I had given the foreground a little more room on the bottom of the frame. Oh well, live and learn!
