American Giants Museum

American Giants Museum

The Texaco Big Friend, Paul Bunyan, the Esso tiger, and other "muffler men" are all celebrated at the American Giants Museum in Atlanta, Illinois.

Located along the course of 1926 era Route 66, the museum is at the crossroads of Arch and Vine Streets.

Opened in 2022, it's designed to look like an old Texaco station and has all the vintage finishing touches.

The story is told inside amidst relics of these fabulous fiberglass creations. Outside you will find fully restored examples to great you!

You can see the pads in the photo above for future figures. We will definitely have to visit again to see this museum grow.

Roughly kitty-corner from the museum is a Paul Bunyan giant that has been modified to wield a hotdog instead of an axe!

As I said, the museum is still growing, so it makes for a quick stop to learn some cool history and snap some great photos.
